Bring your dad to school day, September 26! Dad's will be able to visit 3rd grade classes from 7:45 - 8:30am. Father figures are welcome also. Dads will read with their child and complete a reading response question. This is what students normally do during this time and shows dads what the expectations of 3rd grade are.

I purchased the full version of SpellingCity.com so students can practice their spelling words but also vocabulary lists. I will add all vocabulary words from our reading curriculum. Students can use this resources as added practice in addition to our daily vocabulary practice in class. The games are fun!

Students will be learning about growth mindset in addition to lessons on not giving up, encouraging others and kindness, and doing their personal best.
My class also watches this YES I CAN (click for link) video and we use that as our class motto! We work on being positive and telling ourselves "yes I can!"
